We are advised on orthopaedic surgery by Prof. Dr. med. Alfred Karbowski, a specialist in orthopaedics, orthopaedic surgery, paediatric orthopaedics, orthopaedic rheumatology, physical therapy and balneology, and sports medicine. He has been an active member of relevant medical associations.<\/p>

After working as a senior physician at the orthopaedic university hospitals in M\u00fcnster and Mainz, Prof. Dr. Karbowski served as chief physician at the Clinic for Orthopaedics, Orthopaedic Surgery, and Sports Medicine at the Hospital of the Augustinian Sisters (Severinskl\u00f6sterchen) in Cologne for more than 25 years.<\/p>

As chief physician, he oversaw the broad spectrum of orthopaedic surgery. His clinical work focused on primary and revision arthroplasty of the hip and knee. He was head and senior principal surgeon of the EndoProsthetics Center of Maximum Care Severinskl\u00f6sterchen in Cologne. Prof. Dr. Karbowski was listed as a top physician for hip surgery\/hip endoprosthetics and knee surgery\/knee endoprosthetics in the annual\u00a0Focus<\/em>\u00a0list of physicians until his retirement as chief physician in 2023, as well as in the\u00a0Stern<\/em>\u00a0list of physicians.<\/p>

During his academic career, Prof. Dr. Karbowski was very active in scientific research. As head physician, he primarily focused on the clinical aspects of his role, particularly the surgical care of his patients. Prof. Dr. Karbowski is also an experienced expert witness and now dedicates his time to expert activities.
